MEETING NOTICE:

The next meeting of the Bulldog Club of Metropolitan Atlanta will be on February 10, 2010 (Wednesday) at the upcoming show site.

(LOOK! NEW HOURS FOR THIS MEETING ONLY) The officers and board are to meet at 6:30 pm and the regular meeting will begin at 7:00 pm.

The program will be "EVERYTHING YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT DOG SHOWS AND WERE AFRAID TO ASK"!! Whether you are an oldie or a newbie this program will have information for you! Don't miss it.

Remember also the hotel has a restaurant so if you did not have time to eat you can eat there.

GROUP TRAINING CLASSES WILL BE STARTING UP AGAIN IN JANUARY!!!

January 9 - Basic Obedience - 1:30 pm (6 weeks)

January 9 - Focus Class/Children and their Pets - 3:00 pm  (4 weeks)  This class is for kids to learn dog care responsibility and some training techniques.

January 12 - Basic Obedience - 7:30 pm (6 weeks)

January 13 - Drop-In Conformation  - 7:30 pm (Ongoing)  This is for those with purebreed show dogs who want to practice their handling skills ($10/class)

January 18 - Focus Class/Attention Please! - 7:30 pm (4 weeks)

January 28 - Canine Good Citizen (CGC) - 7:30 pm (8 weeks)  This class will focus on teaching to the AKC CGC test.  The test will be offered to all participants after the class is complete.  Date TBA.

 I've been getting a lot of inquiries about Rally classes and Intermmediate Obedience.I am working on scheduling those for March.

I also want to tell everyone about The Dog Spot's

monthly events. The last Friday of January will be

our first Wine and Biscuit night. There is a $25

donation and reservations are required for this

event. Your $25 gets you two wine tickets, free

h'or dourves, and an evening of fun.  Your pup(s)

will receive yummy homemade biscuits and get to

socialize with other pups. This event as well as all

of our monthly events is being held to not only

provide an event for dog lovers to socialize and

meet others of like mind but to raise money for a

wonderful rescue organization, BLISS Animal Haven

BLISS is located in Loganville and is working hard

to save as many dogs and cats from euthanasia as

possible by finding great forever homes for them.

Dinner and Casino Night

Come and join fellow Bulldog owners, UGA alumni and fans, former UGA head coach Vince Dooley,  former UGA/NFL players such as Matt Stinchcomb, David Greene, Scott Woemer,Greg Talley, Dr. Tom Lyons, and others as they help raise money for neglected bulldogs. Tickets are $150 per person which includes dinner, drinks, and one raffle ticket. Tables of 10 are available. Check out the website to see all the fabulous auction items that can be won at the event.
